The Colleges That Have the Happiest Students

The 2020 edition of “The Best 385 colleges” is based on data from surveys taken by 143,000 students across 385 schools. The survey includes 80 questions about the school's academics, life at the university and many other categories. From the results of the survey, The Princeton Review ranks the top 20 colleges across 62 different categories.

According to the 2020 Princeton Review, these are the universities with the “The Happiest Students” 

  1. Auburn University

Located in …. Is home to the happiest students in the nation. Students said that Auburn provides plenty of resources and opportunities to gain a top-notch education while also nurturing the growth of students with skill development and extracurricular involvement. Professors were said to be approachable and go out their way to help. The University ranked highly on the friendliness of the campus and having great school spirit.

  1. Vanderbilt University

Vanderbilt University located in Nashville TN is no stranger to the list, ranking top in 2014, 2015 and 2017. Vanderbilt ranked no.1 in “Their Students Love These Colleges” which is based on student ratings of their overall satisfaction with their schools. The university also took the top spot in “Best Quality of Life” which is based on safety, location of the campus and the friendliness of fellow students.

  1. Kansas state university 

Kansas University credits its student-centred approach to the happiness of its students. K-State has an average 18-to-one student-to-teacher ratio which allows better relationships between students and teachers and an engaging class environment. Students also commented on how helpful, the polite and friendly student body as well as the diverse campus life activities.

  1. Tulane University 

Tulane University is located in New Orleans, Louisiana. The university is respected for its research opportunities for students, as well as the way students are involved in the community. Last year Tulane students logged more than 780,000 hours of civic service in the city of New Orleans.

The annual publication ranked Tulane No.1 university for community service and No.2 in the students love These Colleges category. 

  1. University of Oklahoma 

The University of Oklahoma is known for its competitive athletic atmosphere, the University provides excellent services to student-athletes so that they can reach their highest academic, athletic, and personal aspirations. The university was ranked top for “Best Value College for 2020” which looks at a colleges academics, cost, financial aid, career services, graduations rates, student debt and alumni support as a whole.
